Everyone tells us to follow our passions. But is this actually harmful advice?
In this episode of The Underestimated Entrepreneur, I recount my experience working with a band who've achieved moderate success in the music industry. Though they were following their passions in pursuing music, all the sex, parties, and alcohol led to their eventual burnout. They were ready to quit music.
My piece of advice was to go back in the past, to the ancient philosophies of the Greeks, of Marcus Aurelius. What I find there is the complete opposite of what our modern day society preaches us about following our passions. So if you're like these musicians, who've lost the spark of continuing what they always wanted to do, then this episode will set off the mindset shift you'll need to face the problems of modern life.
