Where have we seen this before? 

The New York Times invited Elliot Abrams on its pages to legitimize the invasion of Venezuela. Abrams, the war criminal who was also involved with the invasion of Panama, the murderer of thousands of innocent civilians, the abductor of a head of state on dubious charges and the pillager of a country in the name of freedom and democracy. Abrams simply used the unjust invasion of Panama to justify the invasion of Venezuela. 

The circle continues.
