The Grateful Dead just got the band back together for a few final gigs, 20 years after their last shows (and the death of Jerry Garcia) and 50 years after forming in psychedelic San Francisco. To mark the occasion, Dad Rock invited a couple of true Deadheads, each with about 100 shows attended, to discuss the long, strange trip.

The conversation ran long (kind of like a Dead show), so we broke this episode into two sets (also like a Dead show). The Second Set posts on Friday, July 3.
