Winter can be a very challenging and isolating time for a lot of people. The days are short and cold. Dispositions normally shift from generally happier in the summer to less so in the colder months. For some people, this sadness can be pinned as a simple vitamin D deficiency due to lack of sunlight. For some people, their experiences may be different. For those who experience SAD (seasonal affective disorder) or have coexisting mental illnesses, vitamins are a start but not the solution.
