The way women view their bodies has quietly but powerfully changed over the years and not always for the better. In today’s episode, I begin an important conversation about perception and how our understanding of weight loss, beauty and women’s bodies has become increasingly skewed.
In Part 1, I explore how this shift happened, the role of media, social platforms, diet culture and aesthetics, and how these influences have shaped unrealistic standards that affect how women see themselves and their health.
This episode is about awareness. Because you cannot change what you do not first recognise.
Next week in Part 2, I will go deeper into the impact of these perceptions, including cosmetic procedures, and most importantly how women can develop a healthier, more balanced and empowered way of viewing their bodies.
