Dr. John Kitzhaber is well known in Oregon and across the country for his expertise on health care and health policy. He’s a former emergency room physician, served for 14 years in the Oregon legislature, and is the longest-serving governor in Oregon's history, having served as the 35th and 37th governor of Oregon, the only person to date-- to serve non-consecutive terms.
