This episode is going to be a part of Sermon Sundays... it's a working title. I'm no preacher and I have no single spiritual text I read from so I don't think they should be called Sermon Sundays, but today, I use Rumi's quote as the anchor for today's podcast:
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
I also reference Buddha where he said, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
I chat about how much suffering I go through and we all go through when we have this perception that we need to change the government, change our co-worker, or change our family members or partners. And I do my best to point out how much power there is in pointing the finger at ourselves and making the necessary changes.
