From crude oil found deep in the heart of Texas, precious minerals and metals mined out of the Congo, to natural gas now discovered in the Arctic as we see polar ice caps melt and erode. The human race is built on resources, none more so than the modern era.
Now controlling resources can inadvertently place power into the hands of the controller. So depending on who is in control of the earth's natural resources, well, that can have a huge impact on all of us on this earth.
