If you remember when the leading tech was a Sony Mavica Camera and your photos were saved on multiple 3.5" floppy disks, this is an episode of Pro vs. Joe that you will not want to miss.
FOMO is the Fear of Missing Out. It is a useful sales strategy when you have a product and/or service that is of superior quality but it should also be an internal system for adapting to changes in the market.
You want your customers to have FOMO but do you have a proper FOMO when it comes to technology and innovation?
When people in a position of leadership talk about the younger generations, they often discuss attributes in a negative light that could well be transformed into positive resources for troubled brands. We know that you must grow or die, but the resistance to adaptation is real with those who are stubbornly set in their ways.
The younger business leaders may not have the experience of weathered managers, and yet, this also helps them to embrace changes in the market and new technologies. Not all tech is helpful but it is worth exploring or having someone on your team who can assist you to navigate these innovations.
We discuss Lance Armstrong, Cigars, Matterport 3D cameras, the Sony Mavica with 3.5" floppy disks, property restoration networking groups, fighting for your customer, C.Y.A, F.O.M.O. and many other topics.
You can view our discussion via The DYOJO Youtube Page and you can listen to The DYOJO Podcast wherever fine podcasts are listened to (Spotify, Apple, Anchor, Google). You can read more on this topic, and many others, in Jon's monthly column The Intentional Restorer from Restoration and Remediation (R&R) Magazine.

Best part...our dog LOVED them."
