Humble Bee Bio is on a mission to take plastic pollution out of the realm of individual responsibility and replace the materials that are used by industry when creating consumer products. Through their research, Humble Bee Bio have found a species of solitary bee that produces a remarkable bioplastic to waterproof their nests and protect their larvae from the environment. The bee’s DNA has been used to provide a unique platform to engineer sustainable materials with tailored properties for multiple market applications.
