After EA tried and failed to capture the goodwill of Star Wars fans with Battlefront 1 and 2, the mega-publisher announced in late 2017 that Respawn -- best known for the underrated Titanfall franchise, now Apex Legends -- would be making a third-person singleplayer Jedi game.
