After an extended weekend, we're back! Here's this week's playlist:
"Slave to the Grind" - Halestorm: An even harder rocking take than the Skid Row original.
"Shooting Star" - Puddle of Mudd: An interesting Bad Company cover.
"Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown" - Rob Zombie: The latest single from Rob Zombie! This one took a little bit to grow on me, but the chorus is catchy.
"Death Valley" - Fall Out Boy: Another great job of blending pop and rock into a new sort of dance rock sound.
"Shakin' All Over" - Wanda Jackson: This song by the Queen of Rockabilly (and produced by Jack White) played over the closing credits of the movie Bridesmaids.
"Everyday" - Fiona Apple & Jon Brion: A cute little Buddy Holly cover.
"Don't Bring Me Down (Live)" - Electric Light Orchestra: This is my favorite song of theirs from their first ever live album!
"Never Gonna Change" - SuperHeavy: A soft rock track from the supergroup featuring Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, and A.R. Rachman.
