“Why are we still talking about women’s equality in construction? Things are much better than they used to be. Are women REALLY STILL facing hardships? Can’t we just focus on hiring and promoting the BEST candidates and set gender aside?”
These are questions I have heard from men in our industry. Sometimes they are well intentioned questions in which the person truly wants to know and understand the answers…and sometimes they are simply people that have no interest in understanding why the conversation is still vital.
