Of all the "Rules" of investing, these 2 are essential regardless of how much money you have or your temperament and risk profile. Ignore them at your peril.  Even if it turns out you are dealing with a fraud and lose your investment, as I did, these rules will save your bacon.  To date, I've never had a financial planner, accountant or liquidator disagree with me whether presenting from the platform or in private. When I made 60% on a trade last week, and accidentally broke a different rule doing it, these 2 rules kept me safe if it had gone the other way. Rule number 1: Never invest more than you can afford to lose. Rule number 2: See rule number 1. If you cannot afford to lose it, it's not for you.
