This week we begin with a couple of Rolling Stones covers:
"Gimme Shelter" - Puddle of Mudd: A faithful adaptation of this Stones tune.
"Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" - Santana feat. Scott Weiland: Santana teams up with the Stone Temple Pilots frontman for this Stones classic.
"Mr. Blue Sky (Live)" - Electric Light Orchestra: A live version of perhaps ELO's most famous song.
"Maybe Baby" - Justin Townes Earle: A southern rock take on a Buddy Holly classic.
"Baby Can't Drive" - Slash feat. Alice Cooper, Nicole Scherzinger, Steven Adler & Flea: From Slash's first solo album, this track has a very classic rock feel that harkens back to his GNR days. It features Alice Cooper sharing lead vocals with Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, Steven Adler from Guns N' Roses on drums, and Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass.
"Too Close" - Alex Clare: This is the song from those Internet Explorer commercials. It effectively fuses rock and dubstep to create a unique sound.
"Fool For Your Loving (Live)" - Whitesnake: In 2011, Whitesnake released Live at Donnington 1990, a collection of live performances from the band in its prime. Here's one of the best cuts.
