Now in his second year as a real estate agent, James Ponturo made the leap into real estate following a seven-year career as a carpenter. Wanting career progression and change, James transitioned into the industry by undertaking work experience with a Freedom agent in Josh’s office. Though it was a difficult start, like it is for most new agents, he finished the year strong by winning Freedom’s Rookie of the Year Award.
Not your average agent, James’ background knowledge and experience in construction gives him a unique edge, particularly when working with sellers and buyers on homes requiring renovations. It also makes him highly relatable to his chosen customer base. He believes the key to his success is hard work paying off; building and maintaining strong relationships eventually allowed him to gain traction within his area of operation.
