He is the tech billionaire familiar to most on this planet, and after checking what loose change he had sitting in the middle console of his Tesla, he's gone and made a little purchase worth US $44b!  

The news of Elon Musk purchasing Twitter this week was BIG! even Dogecoin crypto stock price jumped up!  Now the purchase is not the issue, sure it raised an eyebrow as to why you'd spend $44b on a social media platform that ranks 15th in the world compared to other platforms, but, the main eyebrow-raiser is that all decision making for the platform would reside with Elon....and that would include which twits get to tweet!
