Merv was best remembered for his aggressive bowling style, distinguishing moustache and larrikin personality.

Merv growing up in country Victoria was ta typical kid in the country, playing sport and also spending his time on the local rivers and creeks fishing with his mates.

Merv is a larger than life character with now-legendary antics with the crowd at Bay13 on the #MCG during one-day internationals and his more than friendly attitude with captains.

Merv has remained in the public eye with fishing shows in 7mate and appearances on shows like I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
