Contrary to popular belief there is no ONE way to get to CRNA School. You can work in various different settings and even take the "scenic" route to get there. It all counts. ALL experiences matter and your unique value and skill set is what WILL make you an incredible CRNA. 

In this episode I detail my stats to CRNA school which I will summarize below and I talk about some of the experience of my mentees who have gotten into school.

Here's my STATS:

• CNA during nursing school to get my BSN
• Obtained an Internship while in Nursing School on an Orthopedic trauma unit
• Graduated Summa cum laude & on the Deans List
• Worked in that Ortho trauma unit post graduation
• Travel nursing in Med-Surg Telemetry & Palliative Care
• Worked in Trauma critical care and did travel nursing as well 
• Took Organic and Biochemistry, the GRE, obtained my CEN, TNCC, & CCRN
• Applied to CRNA school! 

Other mentees & clients backgrounds BEFORE gaining CRNA School Acceptance: L&D/OB, PACU, Medical assistants, Various floors, Step down units, Cath lab, NICU/PICU, ER, Flight nursing, etc. 

At the end of this episode I even discuss how to handle a clinical situation when you're in CRNA School and someone has something to say about your experience.
