Reparations have been a taboo topic but no more. The American Government paid former slave owners for every slave they had to free but never paid the slave for the torture they endured!   The American Government needs to take ownership for the enslavement of black people and the long lasting effects that decision has until this day! H.R. 40 is a bill in Congress to study the effects of slavery on black people and issue the appropriate remedies. Reparations have to be on the table when we talk about racial reconciliation in this country. In this video I make the case for the American Government to pay reparations to Black Americans and give history on how America has paid reparations for another ethic group in the 1980’s!
