Hello my loves,
Welcome to todays episode, where I have couple Marshall, and Heather Zweig. Marshall is a Intimacy Coach, while Heather is a Movement Facilitator.
In todays episode we uncover the raw, and real challenges that can arise in a long term marriage. They talk about how they both vulnerably shared their s*xual history early days with each other, so they could understands bodies, and levels of intimacy.
We touch upon how generational trauma can be passed down in relationships, and parenting, where shouting, and gas lighting has been the norm, and how your intimate, and parenting styles shift if you choose to make a change.
We also discuss the belief that people can sometimes have around "Getting your sh*t together, before meeting the one", is bullsh*t. How Marshall, and Heather, coach others to learn to be their own healers, as well as others healers. And that no one is perfect, and no one ever is going to be 'ready' to meet the one!
Heather, opens up about what it feels like to feel safe as a woman, in this relationship, and to have awareness of when past trauma is playing up. And when her needs match Marshalls needs, with the balancing act of selfishness, and being selfless in order to balance their own self love, as well as each others.
How to maintain a relationship intimately, and discuss how to negotiate with a partner when one feels 'obliged' to make love, while the other really doesn't fancy it. And how to respect, and honour each others physical needs.
This is a super vulnerable conversation, and I am so grateful to both Heather, and Marshall for choosing to share their voice on this platform.
*Trigger warning*, at 26- 32 minutes we do touch upon s*xual trauma, so please skip through this part if you are sensitive to this part of the conversation.
