Amber Smith is truly a badass, and a very inspirational woman. In the Army she flew the Kiowa Warrior helicopter in combat, and details her story in "Danger Close: My Epic Journey as a Combat Helicopter Pilot in Iraq and Afghanistan." Well, we hear about some of those epic combat missions right here, so strap in.

We also hear about her successful transition out of the military and into government working under the Secretary of Defense. It had it's obstacles though, some of which may surprise you. Simply not wearing her uniform anymore was a mental challenge. Amber gives her advice on those getting out of the military, and taking the first steps to make a career for themselves in the civilian world.
