The Power of Thought

Coming at you this week with a shorter but engaging "best of" the podcast. We have a very special guest this episode, big wave surfer Laird Hamilton. Laird is a legend in his community, and on this episode we get into many topics during our discussion ranging from parenting, masculinity in society today, fitness, and of course the mentality that goes into taking on such a daring career. He also gives his take on what "freedom is the new rich" means to him.

His story started long before that however as you could imagine. Josh served in the Army National Guard, and his service included a 10-month stint in Bagram, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Brandon is back from NBA All-Star Weekend with his son (hence the title of this episode of course) and it sounds like it was quite an enjoyable experience. Beyond getting to meet superstars like Steph Curry (who was a class act,) Brandon also attended NBA's Newsmaker Breakfast attended by the likes of former Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Director of the CIA John Brennan.

In fact, Waters was at the first ever Bitcoin conference back in 2011, and with his background in quality assurance it landed him a job long before the surge of interest took place for this technology.
