This week, we sat down with the NWTF's Patt Dorsey and Collin Smith to discuss the conservation organization's Big Sky Initiative in Montana. Dorsey, NWTF director of conservation operations in the West, and Smith, NWTF district biologist for Montana, Idaho and Wyoming, discuss the need for increased forest management and why it should matter to everyone. Topics include management as a method to decrease the risk of wildfire and provide cleaner water and better outdoor recreation opportunities.
