Hello Rapids Fans! This week on Holding The High Line, it's just Red. Rabbi is in the state of Pennsylvania but has a bunch of boxes to unpack. Red solo recaps the loss on Sunday to Los Angeles FC and how Colorado Rapids had some bad luck in the game given the circumstances. He goes over some disappointing news from training last week and discusses whether Anthony Hudson is a good coach learning from his mistakes or not.
Then we preview the Rocky Mountain Cup match this Saturday and Real Salt Lake. Red discusses the form of both teams and how we could see the game play out. While this match is winnable, there aren't a lot of scenarios that end in the Rapids taking the trophy home.
In the second half of the show, we bring you a bunch of interview segments. We've been sitting on some of these for a few weeks and just didn't have the time or the place to put them. So, we're throwing them in here now. First Rabbi sits down with Rapids Assistant General Manager Fran Taylor to get into the weeds on player evaluation and the wonky MLS salary budget rules. We get some post-game audio from Kellyn Acosta and Sam Nicholson after the recent home with over LA Galaxy. We finish off with a post-training phone chat with Jack Price talking tactics and sunscreen usage.
