Here's this week's playlist:
"My Oklahoma Home (Live)" - Bruce Springsteen & The Sessions Band: This one is dedicated to the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes a couple weeks ago. This song was written during the Dust Bowl, but could just as easily be about the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.
"Back in Black" - Santana feat. Nas: From Santana's latest duets album, this one featuring all covers. I always thought "Back in Black" would make a good rap song, kind of like "Walk This Way", and although this isn't exactly as I imagined, it's still pretty good.
"Bad Moon Rising" - Jerry Lee Lewis feat. John Fogerty: The Killer takes on Creedence on his latest album.
"Gotten" - Slash feat. Adam Levine: A sweet love ballad from Slash and the lead singer from Maroon 5.
"Fairweather Friends" - Queens of the Stone Age: On this track from their brand new album, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters joins on drums, Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails joins on backing vocals, and Elton John joins on piano!
"I Can't Explain (Live)" - The Who: In 2012, The Who finally released an album of their performances at Hull City Hall in 1970. This is probably my favorite live performance of this song.
"Let It Rock" - Jeff Lynne: The Electric Light Orchestra frontman brings us a solo version of a Chuck Berry cover.
