I've been re-reading Stewart Lee's 'How I Escaped My Certain Fate: The Life and Deaths of a Stand-Up Comedian' this week and absolutely loving it. I read it ten years ago when I first started stand-up, and reading it again with fresh eyes gives me a new appreciation for where he was at in his life and the artistic choices he made.
