The Bible uses a lot of running analogies, and the half-marathon I completed over the weekend really helped drive them home. 

- Corinthians 9:24-27 - “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one....”

- Matthew 20:16 - “The first shall be last and the last shall be first.” 

- Hebrews 12:1-2 - “...let us run with endurance the race that is set before us....”

- Hebrews 10:23-25 - “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering...” 

- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 - “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor...."

- 1Timothy 6:12 - “...Fight the good fight of the faith....” 

- Galatians 5:22-23 - “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness...” 

- Galatians 5:25 - “If we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the spirit.” 

- Galatians 5:25 - “...reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal....” 

- Matthew 25:21 - “Well done, my good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of thy master.”

- 2Timothy 4:7-8 - “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith....”
