A while back I posted on Instagram that I wanted to know who inspires you, and multiple people mentioned Kelsie Spooner, who is a very sweet and inspiring mama friend. I couldn’t be more excited to bring your requests to life and have her join me in this conversation. I love having everyday mamas on the show just like Kelsie, who can talk about our every day success stories and struggles. 

In this episode we talk about Kelsie’s experience, thoughts, and emotions about building a successful yoga studio and then stepping away from it all to fully embrace her role as a mother and embrace that shift for the season. We talk about working through the loss of our identities as women mentally, emotionally, and physically from our social skills, to our physical bodies when we become mothers. Kelsie shares what steps she takes to identify with herself again, through little intentional actions in her day. She uses her creativity to journey through motherhood by using daily Montessori-based activities which she shares with her boys as a way to keep her family moving forward. Her easy activities and mindset approaches not only fill her creative cup but also serve a dual purpose of being a parenting tool in teaching her boys life skills. By empowering our children it gives us space to move forward as mothers, instead of over-parenting and doing too much for them.  Enjoy!
