Rise Healer Rise

Ep. 34 The Hidden Ways we Deplete Ourselves

Listen Later

Most of the depletion that healers experience is not coming from the obvious places. The long client session, the demanding launch, the season of life that asks a great deal. Those are visible. We can account for them and rest afterwards.

The depletion I explore in this episode is the kind that happens quietly, consistently, and often in direct proportion to how sensitive and devoted you are to your work.

Until we can see it clearly, we cannot begin to address it.

In this episode: the three hidden drains that accumulate beneath the surface of a working life, why sensitive practitioners are particularly prone to carrying what is not theirs to hold, how constant self-questioning costs far more energy than most of us realise, and what it means to begin creating a genuine boundary between what is yours and what is not.

Essence spotlight: The Umbel family, Apiaceae. Elder, angelica, fennel, cow parsley. These are plants of the threshold, comfortable at the boundary between one thing and another, and deeply supportive of the nervous system and energetic boundaries.

Yarrow from my own range carries both sunlight and moonlight expressions, addressing the restoration of the boundary between what is genuinely yours to give and what has been given out of habit, conditioning, or the quiet fear of giving less.
