What if the whole purpose of your events is to educate people in another country but the borders are still closed or conditions on the ground are still untenable? For Fama Ndiaye, the mission remains and the only way forward is to learn to live with Covid.
Fama is the co-founder of Kbeautycon and CEO of Kworld Media. She had plans to launch events around the planet, educating people about Korean beauty secrets, a world she felt was often poorly understood. She reveals her passion for other cultures to appreciate and benefit from the Korean philosophy and study of skincare.
Quotes From Episode
"A lot of people thought that Korean beauty is not for women of colour, period. (That) it's just for white women or Asian women. And I wanted to break that stereotype because it really is all about your skin type."
"A lot of people still don't understand why Kbeauty is so special. In the US there is a big emphasis on makeup (styles). In France, they like natural-looking makeup. The South Korean approach focuses everything on your skin. Your goal is to have perfect skin."
