Estrella Carrera, a 26-year-old mother of two from Illinois, was found murdered in 2012 just days after her wedding. Her body was discovered in the bathtub of her apartment, still wearing the silver sequin dress from her wedding celebration. Her new husband, Arnoldo Jimenez, quickly became the prime suspect and was later charged with her murder. Authorities believe he killed her during an argument in his car and then left her body in the tub before fleeing. Jimenez was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and remains at large. Estrella’s tragic death shocked her community and became a haunting example of domestic violence hiding in plain sight.
