Nicole Cook is a clinical nurse specialist for Cardiac Services BC, an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria, a clinical instructor at BCIT, mom of 2 incredible kids, daughter and friend.

Nicole is passionate about cardiovascular nursing practice and helping to develop quality health care. She feels fortunate to be in a meaningful career and loves her job.

Both Nicole and I have the privilege of being nurses and love our careers. We talk about the variety of roles that nurses can have and that it is not the antiquated view that many have about nursing that all we do is give shots and say obey whatever the doctor says.

Although Nicole does find time to help out with the PTA, she does not volunteer with every activity her kids are involved in. She also does not do all the deep cleaning at her house and does not say yes all the time.
