Butch Vig produced Nirvana's seminal "Nevermind" and went on to produce multi-platinum albums for Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth and others. He also got back into performing in a big way, launching the band Garbage, which too sold millions of records. Garbage is on tour this year in celebration of the 20th anniversary of its self-titled debut album.
