We reflect on our experiences with identity and belonging as immigrants to Canada, and discuss what being Canadian means to us. There are aspects we are proud of and aspects we are not proud of. And that's okay. In fact, it's that duality that allows us to be critical of the injustices of our country while also wanting it to be better for future generations, whether for Indigenous people, new immigrants and all Canadians. On this Canada Day, we wish you a day of reflection, learning and belonging.
