Jin the Ninja joins the program this week to lend his highly informed perspectives and esoteric knowledge to provide insight into the secrets that lay beyond in the inner / outer para-political dynamics. Jin is basically Poolhouse’s spiritual advisor at this point, so it was probably a good idea for these two to finally meet anyway–and what an electrifying encounter it is indeed!
Together, Jin and Poolhouse touch on a number of aspects related to the modern occult currents. Jin is a trained student and practicioner of a mystical and esoteric form of Buddhism known as Vajarayana (Tantric) yoga. From this perspective, he expands on a number of concepts which have meaning and can be broadly applied across many traditions.
Don’t let the big Sanskrit words scare you! Things do get far out, but only a little bit far east. Jin and Poolhouse discuss many of the intersections of esoteric eastern philosophies and western occult traditions, by way of the Kabbalah. All of which informs what we understand to be “magic” today, in all its forms and spellings.
A little bit on Vajrayana or Tantric Buddhism, which is the practice in which Jin is a learned scholar and cleric. Per wikpedia (emphasis ours):
Vajrayāna (Sanskrit: वज्रयान, [diamond lightning]), also known as .. Secret Mantra, Tantric Buddhism, and Esoteric Buddhism, is a Buddhist tradition of tantric practice that developed in the medieval Indian subcontinent and spread to Tibet, Nepal, other Himalayan states, East Asia, and Mongolia.
Vajrayāna practices are connected to specific lineages in Buddhism, through the teachings of lineage holders. Others might generally refer to these texts as the Buddhist Tantras.[1] It includes practices that make use of mantras, dharanis, mudras, mandalas and the visualization of deities and Buddhas.
Traditional Vajrayāna sources say that the tantras and the lineage of Vajrayāna were taught by Śākyamuni Buddha and other figures such as the bodhisattva Vajrapani. On the other hand, contemporary historians of Buddhist studies argue that Vajrayāna does not predate the tantric era of medieval India (c. 5th century CE onwards).[2]
Of course we all know our question for the contemporary historians of Buddhist studies: do you believe that trans women can be women?
Things don’t get that spicy, don’t fear–but the two do discuss the Lurianic, Luciferean, anti-Cosmic origins of the radical left, the rise of pop New Age occultism, common misconceptions about gnosticism, secret treaties, secret trees, and of course, Roseanne.
Pro-cosmic doesn’t even begin to do this justice really.
