Joel Green is a former professional basketball player & National Director of Nike Sports Camps. Joel had a challenging upbringing, growing up in an abandoned house in North Philadelphia. His cousin was murdered, he had a knife pulled on him, and he stood just ten feet from another shooting. Years later, he tragically lost his older brother. The game of basketball was a lifesaver, as it took Joel off the streets and provided a much-needed distraction. His story and the lessons he learned are explored in his book, 'Filtering: The Way to Extract Strength from The Struggle'. With a B.A. in Psychology, Joel is a guy who sets ambitious goals and attributes his work ethic to his passionate desire for excellence. LINKS Joel Green's website http://www.joelbgreen.com/.
