There are vibeshifts, and then there are auraquakes. Mythic poster, published author, and oracle of the zeitgeist Anna Krivolapova joined Poolhouse for this EPIC state of the orange-vibeshift summit.

Late summer 2023, Anna published her first collection of fiction. Entitled Incurable Graphomania and published through APOCALYPSE CONFIDENTIAL, her debut has been received with a swarm of buzz and growing cult acclaim.

Anna’s style is both accessible and cryptic, with elements of the absurd and the supernatural injected into portraits of the mundane and the everyday. Her storytelling is remarkably fresh; her fix on the yarns she spins is both perceptive and precise.

The end result is Krivolapova’s kaleidoscopic world, one which is both familiar yet alien, where the unremarkable and the uncanny playfully coexist to color and serve her incisive commentary on the culture.

In an already-legendary episode, Anna and Poolhouse immerse themselves in an effervescent, free associative journey to the underside of the 1960s and back. Along the way, Anna discusses her debut collection + shares some thoughts on writing and style, before they peer behind the moldy masks of countercultural institutions such as the Joans (Didion and Baez), Richard Brautigan, and the Diggers.

This endlessly unfolding, ultra-cosmic affair will illuminate and CONFOUND you, as AK+PH dissect parapolitical celebrity power couples, CPT vs RPT, and then uncover a sinister urban conspiracy at the center of America’s citie–sHome of the Brave…and the Whopper(??). Anna reveals her favorite president, Poolhouse’s retardation becomes infectious, and there is an epochs-in-the-making moment for the true heads: our intrepid vibecruisers reveal the existence an archaic and immaculate order (the Black Hebrew Israelites, obviously. or maybe the Moors. but for the record, both Anna and DJPH disavow of any knowledge of the Siberian Knights).
