California is considering a billionaire tax and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul needs to make a determination on a wealth tax in her state to plug a budget hole left behind by Eric Adams. If she doesn’t, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani will need to implement a 9.5% property tax hike.
