What is procrastination, and why do we tend to do it so much? This week I sat down with Dr. Sirois to chat about how procrastination is ultimately an emotional self-regulation failure, the misconceptions around procrastinating, how we can learn to procrastinate less, and the roles that perfectonism and self-compassion play in procrastination tendencies. Dr. Sirois is a researcher at the University of Sheffiled, and her research focuses on the factors that create risk and resilience for health and wellbeing.
