In this episode we take a break from our study of the book of John and talk about the benefits of studying eschatology (the study of last things), and particularly the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21). I talk about this subject in connection to my book, Signs of the End: What Jesus Taught His Disciples in the Olivet Discourse, and take you on a tour of the different sections of the discourse, talking about the challenges faced in the text and a preview of how they are addressed (which involves reading some excerpts from my book). I also take some time to talk about my own journey in studying the end times and how I came to write the book.
