So, ready to dive in and know why is it that you shouldn't start your Youtube channel without this one important thing? Well, to begin with, you just need to ask yourself this easy question: "What's the point and goal of you starting your Youtube Channel?" Of course, getting more traffic on your website, distributing your content and marketing message through different platforms etc are the most common answers. But here's the first question you should be considering: "what exactly you want to do with it, what's you vision?" Look at the larger goals here, because every business has the basic requirement of spreading their marketing message through different platforms. But, what is the final point or message that you are wanting to drive home to your audience? If you are going to start a channel and speak about something that everyone is speaking about, give generic tips, then, you should re-consider, sit back and ask this questions for as long as it takes to understand what your bigger goal and vision is out of starting your Youtube channel. Why are you putting so much effort? There is already enough content in the world, one any topic you name. We as consumers are all flooded with content on any given topic from various sources. So, in such a situation, why would anyone consume content on the same topics coming from a relatively new content provider? They have all the content in the world, in fact, more that enough sometimes. We have 50 different people sharing the same 7 tips in a slightly different manner. But what the world does not have is your personal experience. Well, here's where you can make a difference, the world needs to know about your story, your visions and if you can do it with the help of your content, you have hit bullseye! You see, the only reason this will set you apart is because no one else can be you or live your life experience. And the best way to communicate or share any kind of content, be it factual or educational or entertainment is to connect it with your very own personal experience. The moment you start getting generic, it wont make any difference. Before you put out anything, think about your vision and how the content can revolve around your real life experience. People understand better when things are communicated in a story format. So, think about it, and understand what your vision is, whats your goal? The world already has it's very own Gary V, Tony Robbins and many others...So what is it about you that the world would want to watch you? Find your story that people can relate to which will help you spread your content better eventually. So, to conclude, here's why you shouldn't start your Youtube channel without this: There's no point putting out content for the heck of it! Everyone does it and get a few likes, follows here and there. But instead, what you could do is to work towards the larger vision, focus your energy on developing content for a platform where you are certain about your vision. And here are the 2 most important questions you need to ask yourself before you start your own Youtube channel, or for that matter any new project! Where do you want to take it? Why do you want to do it? Once you have this sorted, nothing can stop you from growing and connecting to your audience like never before. Remember, your audience can connect to you better if they relate themselves to your personal stories through any content you put up!
