Ep. 47: Clemson 39, UNC 10: Cade Klubnik is a revelation | Orange Bowl vs. Tennessee

Listen Later

Hey Clemson Family, the Tigers now own 21 ACC titles thanks in large part to the emergence of Cade Klubnik at quarterback Saturday night in a 39-10 win over North Carolina in the 2022 ACC Championship game – and Clemson now is headed to another New Year’s Six bowl game in the Orange Bowl, where Klubnik will make his first career start. Plenty of other players were huge factors in the win over the Tar Heels, as wide receiver Cole Turner boost onto the scene with a couple of big plays and the Tigers’ first 100-yard receiving game of the season. Cornerback Nate Wiggins had a pick-six as well as a blocked field goal and several pass breakups to post the biggest game of his young career. Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. made his presence felt to would-be Heisman Trophy contender Drake Maye, with three sacks on the vaunted Tar Heels quarterback. Barrett Carter, Trenton Simpson, Andrew Mukuba, Jalyn Phillips and Ray Mickens Jr. also had big games. What’s next for Clemson as it prepares to face Tennessee in the Orange Bowl near the end of the month? Get a full breakdown of all the pieces of the puzzle from Daniel Shirley and Bill Zimmerman, two longtime members of the sports media and both Clemson graduates, right here on the Reign Supreme Alway podcast.
