Immediately recognising the value of the technology, Derek moved to Cape Town specifically to work as a Mendix Business Engineer, and later Co-Founded Comotion, a technology business that has gone on to create Comotion Lowcode, ComoDash, Seed Analytics and HireBright.

Derek also highlights his commitment to the growth of the low code community and to further a widespread understanding of the value and potential of low code to drive business solutions. Derek also shares his view on the future of low-code and the potential interplay with emerging AI technologies such as ChatGPT.
