It has been a topic debated for decades now in Australia. And with the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II, that debate has been reignited.  

Are we a Monarchist country? or is a Republic nation on the cards?  Intertwined in all of this, is Australia's dark past where for sections of our society, the Monarchy is very closely (if not directly) linked to the colonization of this nation.  

A chapter in our history that most certainly has left a scar that is unlikely to ever fade.  

The Too Dads have raised this question in a previous episode (Is Royalty relevant), and it's a fair question to ask if we are to remain a Monarchist nation.  

But if we didn't, what real-world problem would or could that actually solve?
