We’ve had plenty of those moments in our lives too. Sometimes the moments in our head can feel a lot more intense than the real situation. Along with that, just over catastrophizing a thought or a moment before it happens is also really common.
This was something that was embedded in our natural instinct to survive. Apparently our brains are hard wired to focus on the bad. Did you know that catastrophizing is actually really common and up to 70% of our thoughts are negative? How crazy is that?!
