For all of its picturesque landscapes, bustling cities, sport-crazed events, and beauty, Australia does have a dark past.  

Colonization of this great country is a burden on its 'lucky country' promise.  

It is certainly a wound far from healed, and a scar that will remain forever (no matter how much time passes and we wish for it to fade away).  But, there is hope that steps are being taken, arguably smaller than what they actually need to be.    

What we are left with though is many asking "When are we reconciled?' with this country's First Nations people.... will we ever be?
