Friday, May 10 Fort Calgary Black & White Movie Nights$15 - Join Fort Calgary in the Burnswest Theatre for a night at the movies! Grab snacks and a cocktail at this licensed event, and enjoy a classic black and white movie in Fort Calgary's newly renovated theatre. Doors open at 6:15 PM, so come early to reserve your seat and take a look at Fort Calgary's Interpretive Centre. The movie will start at 7:00 PM.
About the movie: King Kong is a 1933 American monster adventure film directed and produced by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, and stars Fay Wray, Bruce Cabot and Robert Armstrong. The film tells the story of a film crew that visits a tropical island for an exotic location shoot and discovers a colossal ape who takes a shine to their female blonde star (Wray). He is then captured and brought back to New York City for public exhibition.
Surfing Underground, Stokley TowlesAs part of the Watershed+ Dynamic Environment Lab, artist Stokley Towles has spent the past year shadowing and interviewing City of Calgary Water Services crew members who repair our water and drainage systems. Join Stokley for his new solo performance, Surfing Underground, that weaves together the social landscape and culture of construction work, extreme weather, and the unpredictable nature of the public.
Thing Big: A Night Out With Your BrainThe Anxious Brain: How do we know when we've crossed the line from managing our anxiety to being overwhelmed by it? Join Think Big host Jay Ingram and experts from the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and The Mathison Centre for Mental Health Research & Education as they explore this question and share the latest research and treatments for anxiety disorders.

Saturday, May 11 Calgary Stampeders FanfestFanfest is held annually at McMahon Stadium and serves as the unofficial kickoff to the upcoming football season.
The day starts at 9 a.m. with a free pancake breakfast and a live band in the East parking lot, located across from the Ticket Office and Stamps Store. Once the gates open at 10 a.m., there will be interactive inflatables, partner activations and games on the field including the Mayfair Diagnostics Combine Zone. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Stamps players and coaches from the 2018 Grey Cup Championship team, get autographs and pose for a photo with the Grey Cup!
Moments Fest VMoments Fest returns with its 5th instalment featuring bands from all over Western Canada; this year we welcome artists who have performed in the past 5 years. Also you can't forget the resident house band, locals No More Moments.

We show plants used in first-aid, as well as what plants are used for shelters, insulation, hygiene, water filtration, medicine, fire starter, food, and more.
