Hey Clemson Family, Garrett Riley is reportedly about to take over the Clemson offensive coordinator job previously held by former Tigers QB and assistant Brandon Streeter, who was fired Thursday after one year as Clemson’s offensive coordinator. In Episode 55 of the Reign Supreme Alway Podcast we take a quick look at how Riley could fit in at Clemson, whether or not more change is in store and what Streeter accomplished in 2022. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS in the comments today! Streeter led the Tigers to rank 48th in total offense and 30th in scoring offense – not the kind of numbers the team is used to putting up. He certainly improved DJ Uiagalelei’s performance in the first half of the season as quarterbacks coach but his play regressed, and Cade Klubnik brought mixed results to close the season out. Dabo Swinneya ‘s statement Thursday evening included this quote: “Though we took a step forward offensively in 2022, after evaluating our offense in-depth, I felt it was in the best interest of our program to seek new leadership at that position. These decisions are never easy, but it is my job to evaluate and assess every part of our program every year, and this was just the right time to make a change. I look forward to bringing in a dynamic, proven leader at offensive coordinator with the specific purpose of meeting — and raising — the standard of excellence that has been established at Clemson.” Subscribe, like and comment — and we’ll keep you posted as the next steps take place in the Clemson football program.
