On this week’s mini-episode we discuss Mike Judge’s silly social satire Idiocracy. The film manages to combine crude humor with astute social commentary to create a unique cocktail of early 2000’s comedy. While some elements haven’t aged particularly well, the themes of corporate power, advertising, and automation leading to the downfall of humanity feels more prescient with every passing year.
